We aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of canagliflozin in patients with type 2 diabetes nephropathy according prior history heart failure Canagliflozin Renal Events Diabetes With Established Nephropathy Clinical Evaluation (CREDENCE) trial. found that participants a at baseline (15%) were more likely be older, female, white, have atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, use diuretics beta blockers (all P < .001), that, compared placebo, safely reduced renal events consistent effects without interaction >.150). These results support regardless failure.
